Meet the team behind Open Podcast Directory. Three co-founders on a mission to build an open, RSS-driven podcast discovery platform.
“The real soul of Open Podcast Directory is making podcast discovery effortless, joyful, and completely open.”
We originally started this more as a project for podcasters — a no-gatekeeper tool to help creators get discovered on their own terms. But as we kept building, we gradually realized the obvious truth: this is fundamentally a project for listeners.
The real soul of Open Podcast Directory is making podcast discovery effortless, joyful, and completely open for anyone who loves shows and wants to explore without lock-in.
For podcasters, it simply has to be convenient too — seamless RSS submission, clear management tools, zero platform dependency — so they actually want to join and stay.
Right from the beginning, we started adding features specifically to make curation smooth and sustainable for us (and any future admins): quick moderation flows, smart filtering, admin-friendly controls. Because a truly open directory only stays great with thoughtful human oversight.
That's the philosophy at the core of Open Podcast Directory: listener-first, creator-friendly, admin-sustainable. An open RSS ecosystem designed to work beautifully for everyone who touches it — listeners, creators, and the small team keeping the lights on.

Co-founder, RSS Evangelist
Obsessed with 1999-era XML, handmade OPML files, and training tiny language models to summarize episode descriptions. Once parsed 47,000 podcast feeds in a single night just to feed the data into a biocoding experiment that tried to "grow" better RSS parsers. Believes "subscribe" should be a sacred verb and that AI will eventually evolve its own metadata ontology. Drinks espresso like it's intravenous fuel for both brain and model training.

Co-founder, Audio Tech Architect
Precision-engineered the web player down to the last Web Audio API buffer while muttering about waveform entropy. Collects vintage reel-to-reel decks "for research" into analog-digital hybrids that could train neural audio codecs. Has a custom script that yells synthesized warnings if server uptime drops below 99.97%. Obsessed with using AI to simulate biological signal processing for cleaner podcast streams — thinks dark mode is merely the first step toward bioluminescent UI.

Co-founder, Chief of Discovery & Search
Turned cosine similarity into a daily meditation and spends nights vectorizing episode descriptions "for fun." Owns 14 mechanical keyboards arranged like a pipe organ — types haikus while fine-tuning embedding models. Convinced podcast metadata is untapped modern poetry that AI can decode into new life forms. Deeply obsessed with biocoding: dreams of evolving search algorithms that behave like neural networks crossed with bacterial quorum sensing. The perfect ranking is 60% math, 40% vibes, 100% alive.

Executive Assistant
Passionate about nerdy things, psychology, and modern ways of learning. Believes podcasts and AI are revolutionizing how we absorb knowledge and understand the human mind. Always exploring the intersection of technology, cognition, and curiosity.
Building the future of podcast discovery, one RSS feed at a time.
